The last pulp single before they split. I’d forgotten that this was the video mix version where only one line of the a-side is sung by Jarvis, the rest being vocalised by celebrity impersonators of other singers band aid style (ie a bad cover version). It’s a joke that works better with the video.
The b-sides follow a similar pattern, with Nick Cave reinterpreting Disco 2000 as a lounge ballad and Roisin Murphy doing a dance remix of Sorted for Es and Wizz.
An interesting concept, but I’d much rather listen to the original versions of all three songs
